An Open Letter To Parents

An Open Letter To Parents

Please Read!

This year, it is 2017 and some parts of the world are in war. The whole world is not in peace and harmony. I recently came across a video called "An Open Letter to Parents" created by S.T.A.R Kids' MBENNZ and I felt like I needed to spread the word of this letter to everyone. So, please take the time to read it/watch the video!

Many of you might know that some dance teachers have their team compete overseas BUT, there's a catch to it. NO PARENTS ALLOWED. Do you think that's right? As I said above, please read the following letter by MBENNZ and you will understand why I have decided to post it here!

An Open Letter to Parents

READ IT THOURGHLY!!! The word that's been getting to me lately and that makes absolutely no sense, is that parents are still letting their kids travel over seas with a dance teacher they perceive as "nice" or "helpful" oh and even though there is a catch... NO PARENTS ALLOWED! Like what in the world? Do you parents truthfully think that this is normal? You don't know what any of these so-called teachers are involved in outside of class. They could be into trafficking, child or adult entertainment, escorting or many number of things. You don't know these people outside of class. INVESTIGATE! Everything that glitters isn't gold and if it seems to good to be true, it usually is. Please research and back ground check people who you allow around your child thoroughly. Also, parents you really need to stop this competitive nature towards one another and begin to build a community. A community that when one is in trouble than others in the community have your back. A community where you communicate and look out for one another's children's safety as if it was your own child. I have shared with some people directly and yet I still see some parents taking their kids to classes and promoting the movement. This is an extremely dangerous situation. Once you do your research you will find that these people claiming to have all of these opportunities for your child may just be a someone who is really good at manipulation. I would strongly suggest you research and start connecting dots here. I share this not to scare anyone but in hopes of waking some sleeping parents all the way up. Nothing is more important in this world than your child's safety and emotional well being. Being ignorant or trying to climb the ladder to success, if not earned fairly and righteously will come with permanent repercussions. I advise parents to start doing your homework thoroughly and trust your instincts. 2017 is here, please start making better choices for the welfare of your and all children. Thank you, God Bless ✨🙏🦄 MBENNZ

NOTE: Some of you like me, might think that it could be normal for kids to be travelling overseas without their parents. Like, what harm could their dance teachers be? Well, I guess we could never know but I still recommend you to research like MBENNZ said. -kayla

Music, Dance, School!

Music, Dance & School!

This topic that im going to be talking about today is pretty boring... Maybe... Anyways, I am going to tell you a little summary of my Music Dance and School Journey!

MUSIC

Music has always been a thing in me since I was one years old. Although, I didn't realise it until I turned 9 and my school had offered music classes to kids who wanted to learn an instrument. I decided to take up Violin and I really liked it. Well, Ive always loved the violin since young but my Mum was scared to let me learn just incase I would quit. When she realised that I really enjoyed the school classes, she put me with a private teacher doing out of school lessons every Sunday. I still do it. I have been learning the violin for 2 years now but Im doing Grade 4 going to Grade 5 standard pieces, scales, studies and doublestops. Although violin can be boring since there are a ton of techniques, I still enjoy it.

If you have a passion for something, dont give up!

DANCE

Unlike music, I never knew I loved dance so much until I was 5 and asked my Mum to put me in Dance Classes. So she put me in Ballet and I enjoyed it! When I was in year 3, my mum decided that my current dance school was not very good so she moved me to another dance school where they are  really strict on techniques and everything. I managed to get through it though and I did very well in my exam! I quit dance for a year to do gymnastics but, i didn't enjoy gymnastics as much as I thought I would so I went back to dance but at a different dance school. Kinetic Dance Force. At my first year at KDF, I attended Ballet & Contemporary classes. I won a trophy for ballet at the End of Year Showcase and I also participated in the Own Choreography Awards. I love dance because it's a great way for me to express how I feel using movements. My idol, Briar Nolet is an amazing dancer!

SCHOOL

Im in my last year of Primary School this year (2017) and Im really sad that Im going to be leaving some of friends including my best friend but, it's ok. Hopefully I get to cross paths with some of my friends again! Im in Year 6 this year and next year, I will be in Year 7!
